Do headlight restoration kits work? Yes or no?
Wipe New, Lens Restore, NuLens, 3M, Sylvania, Turtle Wax etc, etc, etc...
Toothpaste? Um, no.
Your headlights are starting to get foggy and you recall an infomercial of a product so simple you just wipe and like magic, you have like new headlights! So you head to the local auto store; even better, you need milk and eggs so you head to Walmart to kill two headlights with one wipe... no birds and stones today we are seeking some headlight magic!
You finally get to the rear corner of the store to find the entire top shelf lined with headlight restoration kits! Five dollars. Eight dollars. Fifteen dollars. Thirty dollars. You start asking yourself, "If it really were as easy as wipe and shine, why is there such a wide range of products and prices?"
The truth is, if it were as easy as wipe and go I wouldn't have spent months, maybe years perfecting what I believe to be the perfect process for headlight restoration.
So what happens when you wipe those cheap little magic wipes on your headlights? Well, take any oily substance, wipe it on the headlight, and see what happens. It's a bit more clear! Temporarily that is. Even plain ol' water on the headlight brings some clarity to it until it dries.
So to answer the question; do they work? The answer is no; not very well at least. If you are looking for headlights that look like they came right of the box and plopped right into the front of your car, then you have found the right place.
Still eager to learn how I do it and offer a lifetime warranty? Call me, I'd be happy to explain and answer your questions. Heck I'll even teach you how to do it if you're patient enough to watch!
Talk to you soon!
